Stephen said he was doing sommat in the morning IIRC. Since he lives close to the site I'm guessing he won't want to come to Pete's first. He is away at the mo so confirmation will have to wait unless someone wants to ring him?

Definitely works for me. Suggested timings for the day?

PS - Please excuse the possible flashbacks that day. Lived in Dudloiiiiii (yes, typo on purpose) for 3 years..... :x

You have my deepest symapthy! Dudley is a God awful, shithole of a place, the "black country" at its' very worst.

As for timings, well, can you guys get to my place for 1300hrs (subject to Steve and Guys' confirmation)? The site is about an hour away. It's the rest of you who have the distances to drive and be missing out on your sunday lunch (which the wife has very kindly offered to supply, should you want it).

1300 Hrs is good for me. Means I don't need to make a stupidly early start!

Stephen said he was doing sommat in the morning IIRC.

Let me correct that for you  :

Stephen said he was "doing" someone in the morning IIRC.

Spoke to Guy a short while ago - just in case he can't get on line between now and Sunday, I'll relate convo:

He apologises but he won't be able to make it on Sunday. He is more than happy for us to make an on the spot decision to book the tunnels for an event, if we see fit.
Mid to late January is fine for him.
Also, early December is fine, should PD's event not go ahead (I spoke to Paul last weekend and he was despondent at the interest and was proposing a scaled down event).

I'll get to your place at 1pm Pete, (unless you were sitting down to eat a 1pm?) I shan't need feeding but your wife's offer is very kind.

Just thinking about timings - F&O finish their games around 4pm which will leave us a couple of hours to look round. Should be OK.

Pity about Guy, I was looking forward to seeing him.

I won't be having anything to eat until after the site visit, so we can set out as soon as yourself and Jay are at my house. Then we'll have more time at the site. I suppose we'll need to bring our eye protection with us, if there's a game on?

Questions I'm looking to be answered by visit:

General suitability of tunnels for 'our' sort of game
What plausible scenario can be build around the site?
Tunnel layout - is it grid-like or linear?
Would helmets need to be recommended?
Is there more than one entrance? Two would allow sides to be separated at start.
Are there outside areas that can be used as well as inside? More interesting variation to game structure possible if so.
Level of illumination - variable or fixed?
13A power supplies in tunnels?
Is the layout suitable for eating in-game or will stopping be more practical.
Car park size.
Facilities - I think there are no toilets but water? Tea urns? Battery charging?
Camping/sleeping over previous night?
Pyro restrictions?
FPS restrictions?
Date availability?
Cost per person?

Will likely get there for 2pm then. I'll be with K and coming from Bromsgrove so will go straight there. Will bring the M41 Pete.

Oooh, I'll struggle to go back to Pete's for a chat afterwards so if we can do it in a local pub, all the better.

I'd ask if its possible you can get to Pete's Stephen.
1. Three of us are going there anyway.
2. Much more conducive to sensible discussion than a pub
3. Cheaper
4. Very quick for you to get back

Hmm, thing is, I'll be with Kerstin so it'll be very dull for her. Thing is, we're doing wedding organise-y things beforehand, hence she's coming along.

The other option is that you come to mine as that's between Drakelow and Wolverhampton.

Well, that and I haven't been home for a week so it'd be good to be here! Plus, Wolvo is kinda the opposite direction for me.

As mine is on the way to Wolvo it does make sense. ;)
